Design Practice

The TTS Design Practice serves as an integrated consulting and professional services team driving administrative and academic business success. It brings expertise in design strategy, service design, meeting facilitation, organizational change management, and product management to work directly with university leadership, faculty, researchers, and administrative staff to help frame, understand and ultimately solve complex problems and realize new business opportunities. Through a combination of research, co-creation, and iterative design, the Design Practice delivers clear, actionable outcomes—including service blueprints, stakeholder journey maps, future-state workflows, strategic frameworks, etc. These tools support decision-making, clarify direction, and accelerate progress on high-priority initiatives.

The team also works to empower Tufts staff and faculty to make use of Design Thinking frameworks through its community of practice, Design Corps. Representative engagements include Cummings Veterinary clinical business optimization, University College strategic planning, cross-university visioning retreats for the Vice Provost of Education, Data Analytics and AI at Tufts, and University-wide Data Governance.
