About
Library Technology Services (LTS) provides support for enterprise-wide systems and websites across the Tufts Libraries and the Tufts Archival Research Center (TARC), as well as managing the university’s Faculty Information System (FIS). Our team consists of two Senior Systems Librarians, a Senior Web Developer, and a Senior Program Manager for FIS. We collaborate closely with university administrators, library directors, and staff to implement innovative services and address evolving technology needs.
Services
LTS is responsible for maintaining and enhancing Alma, the university’s integrated library system, which supports circulation, acquisitions, cataloging, and electronic resource management and JumboSearch (Primo) the library discovery service platform.
We develop and maintain the websites for all of the Tufts Libraries and the Tufts Archival Research Center (TARC), ensuring users can efficiently navigate resources and connect with essential library services. Our work is guided by a strong commitment to user experience and accessibility, partnering with library staff to deliver intuitive and inclusive digital environments.
The Faculty Information System (FIS), Elements, plays a vital role in institutional processes, supporting faculty information management, showcasing research and expertise, and enabling reporting and analytics. LTS works with partners across multiple business functions at the University to lead continued implementation and functional expansion of our Faculty Information System and scholarly discovery services.
