Add a Regular Cell Phone or Smartphone without the Duo App
Add a Regular Cell Phone or Smartphone without the Duo AppNote: These directions are a continuation from those on the Enroll and Set up a Device and Add a New Device pages.
- Select the Phone number option.
- Enter the phone number in the space provided.
- Do NOT check the box next to “This is a landline.”
- Click Continue.
- Confirm that the number you are adding is correct OR change it if necessary.
- You should see confirmation that the process is complete.
If you just enrolled in Duo 2FA and this is the first device that you are adding, please return to the page on how to Enroll and Set Up a Device and continue from there! Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
- Click Continue to close the popup window.
- The added device will be displayed on the device management page. (Tip: If you have multiple devices enrolled in Duo, you may want to give this device a more specific name. For more information, see directions for Changing a Device’s Display Name.)
