Server Maintenance and Uptime
Server Maintenance and UptimeTTS performs anniversary maintenance on the schedule below and strives to keep activities that would be disruptive to customer's service confined to these stated needs:
- One 4 hour window between December and February
- One 4 hour window between May and July
If your service cannot tolerate the above schedule, please contact uit-ei-ess@tufts.edu to discuss whether high-availability options, such as redundant databases or load-balanced application servers, should be pursued.
Non-anniversary maintenance may be requested, but will fall into the following hours:
MORNING | USED FOR | DAY(S) |
---|---|---|
6 am - 8 am | Standard or Normal changes with a low risk profile of impact, or where early morning validation is best. | Monday through Friday |
6 am - 10 am | Maintenance that has a potential for large impact. | Sunday |
EVENING | USED FOR | DAY(S) |
12 am - 2 am | Maintenance that has a potential for large impact, is usually our last resort for timing. | Thursday |
8 pm - 10 pm | Standard or Normal changes with a low risk profile of impact | Monday through Friday |
BUSINESS HOURS | USED FOR | DAY(S) |
6 am - 6 pm | Non-Customer visible servers or changes that do not impact service delivery. | Monday through Friday |
