There are a variety of user roles, based on your specific needs. For example, a Store Clerk can add and edit products in their assigned store and move products among categories, a Fulfiller can fulfill orders, a Store Accountant can view marketplace financial reports, and a Store Manager can grant user roles to other users. You can also adjust roles to maintain privacy of the site's collected data.

Most Tufts marketplaces are uStores, and can be viewed in the "Tufts Mall." A uPay store requires that you already have a website and only need a payment gateway.

The first set of directions are for uStore sites, the second set are for uPay sites.

To assign user roles for uStore sites:

  1. Once logged in to TouchNet, on the main menu bar, click Applications > Marketplace.
  2. On the left navigation menu, click Marketplace Home > [the Marketplace location where your store will be located, such as Arts & Sciences] > Stores > [your location, such as Art Gallery] > Store Settings Users.
  3. In the Action column, click Edit User to assign or remove roles.
  4. Place a check in the appropriate role field/s.

  5. Click Save. User changes will be effective at their next login.

To assign user roles for uPay sites:

  1. Once logged in to TouchNet, on the main menu bar, click Applications > Marketplace.
  2. On the left navigation menu, click Marketplace Home > [the Marketplace location where your store will be located, such as Arts & Sciences] > uPay Sites > [your location, such as Hirsh] > [site name} > Users.
  3. In the Action column, click Edit User to assign or remove roles.
  4. Place a check in the appropriate role field/s.
