Add a New Device

TTS recommends using a smartphone with the Duo Mobile app as your primary authentication method because it supports most login scenarios. Other methods can then be added as backups or for convenience.

Once you have enrolled in two-factor authentication, you can set up more than one device. This provides you with options should you not have your original device available.  When adding a new device, we recommend you use a computer separate from the device you are setting up.

Adding a New Device

NOTE: If you have not yet set up your first device for Duo 2FA, go to How to Enroll and Set Up a Device.

  1. From a computer, navigate to the 2FA Service Page and click Manage.
  2. Log in with your Tufts username (e.g. jjumbo01) and password.
  3. When prompted, complete two-factor authentication using one of your previously-enrolled devices/methods.
  4. The device management page will load. Click Add a device.
  5. For further instructions, click the link below that corresponds to the device you want to add.
