File Request
Overview
The File Request feature allows you to give other people upload-only access to one of your folders. When you set it up, a publicly-accessible link is generated, which you share with other people. They then use the link to upload content to your folder, without the ability to view what is in the folder already.
- Log in to the OneDrive website with your Tufts credentials.
- Select My files in the lefthand menu.
- Navigate to the folder you want other people to upload content to.
- Click Options > Request files.
- Provide a brief description of the file request. Other people will see this when they are uploading content. Then click Next.
- A window will appear with a publicly-accessible link. You can copy this link and share it with people so that they can use it to upload content. You can also send the link to specific people via email.
- Click Done to finish setting up the File Request.
