Moving and Copying

Overview

You can move and copy content within the OneDrive website. If you have the OneDrive desktop application, you can also move/copy content through that.

Remember that moving content changes the location of the original file/folder, while copying creates a duplicate that is independent from the original.

  1.  Log in to the OneDrive website with your Tufts credentials.
  2. Select My files in the lefthand menu.
  3. Navigate to the file/folder you want to manage.
  4. Click the options button for the file/folder, then select Move to or Copy to.Move and Copy options
  5. In the window that opens, navigate to the desired destination folder. You can also create a new folder from here.selecting a destination for moved or copied item
  6. When you’re ready, click Move here or Copy here (depending on what you’re doing).
