Storage and Sharing Reports
Overview
From the OneDrive website, end users can generate storage and sharing reports on their own content. Storage reports are helpful for understanding what content you have, where it lives, and how much space it takes up. Sharing reports are helpful for understand what content you're sharing, how it's shared, who has access to it, etc.
- Log in to the OneDrive website with your Tufts credentials.
- Click the Settings (gear) icon toward the top right of the page.
- Select OneDrive settings.
- Select More Settings in the lefthand menu.
- Select Storage Metrics.
- A storage metrics page will load. This shows the names of content, the total amount of storage space used, when content was last modified, etc. Your total free storage is displayed toward the top right corner of the page.
The storage metrics reported here reflect your OneDrive storage as well as data from some other Microsoft services. To view data for your OneDrive “My files” storage, select Documents.
Tip: You can filter the storage metrics by total size or last modified date!
- Log in to the OneDrive website with your Tufts credentials.
- Click the Settings (gear) icon toward the top right of the page.
- Select OneDrive settings.
- Select More Settings in the lefthand menu.
- Select Run sharing report.
- Choose a destination in your OneDrive to save the sharing report to. You can create a new folder or choose an existing one.
- A sharing report will be run. You’ll receive an email notification when it is ready.
- Navigate to the sharing report. The report will be in the format of a .csv file, which you can open in Excel.
- The report contains useful data, like resource path, item type, sharing methods, and more.
