Adding the Tufts Holiday Calendar
Overview
Adding the Tufts Holiday Calendar to your Outlook account is a great way to keep track of holidays that are officially recognized by the University. See the sections below for directions on how to add the Holiday Calendar in the online (Office 365) version of Outlook, as well as the desktop Outlook application on Macs and Windows PCs.
You can also view a list of these holidays on AccessTufts.
- Visit outlook.office365.com and log in with your Tufts credentials.
- Click the Calendar icon toward the bottom left of the page.
- Click Add calendar in the left-hand panel.
- Select Add from directory in the left-hand menu.
- A search field will appear. Type in “Tufts Holiday Calendar” and select the Tufts Holiday Calendar when it appears.
- Use the “Add to” menu to specify which calendar group you want the Tufts Holiday Calendar to appear under (e.g. My calendars, Other calendars, etc.).
- Click Add.
- The Tufts Holiday Calendar will be added.
- Open the Microsoft Outlook desktop application on your Mac.
- Click the Calendar icon toward the bottom of the left-hand navigation panel.
- In the “Home” tab, click Open Shared Calendar.
- In the Search field, enter “Tufts Holiday Calendar”.
- Select Tufts Holiday Calendar in the results and click Open.
- The Tufts Holiday Calendar will be added.
- Open the Microsoft Outlook desktop application on your Windows computer.
- Click the Calendar icon toward the bottom of the left-hand navigation panel.
- In the “Home” tab, click Open Calendar and select Open Shared Calendar.
- In the Name field, type “Tufts Holiday Calendar” and click OK.
- The Tufts Holiday Calendar will be added.
By default, the calendar will open up in a side-by-side view. To change this, click the View tab and click Overlay. Your open calendars will appear overlayed on top of each other.
