DuoSecurity: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) uses DuoSecurity to add a second layer of security when accessing protected systems and services. Tufts requires 2FA for all students, faculty, staff, and affiliates.

2FA can help protect your Tufts account should someone else learn your password. Once you enroll in 2FA, certain two-factor enabled web applications will require you to:

  1. Log in with your Tufts username (e.g. jjumbo01) and password.
  2. Verify your identity using a physical device that you control such as a mobile phone, tablet, or landline phone.
