Webex Calling: VoIP Telephone
OFF CAMPUS? Use of Tufts phone services via Webex requires Tufts VPN.
Through Webex Calling, you can:
- Make and receive calls via your Tufts telephone number
- Organize custom contact lists
- Manage advanced call settings, like Quiet Hours and Single Number Reach

If you are on a TTS-managed device, Webex may already be installed! Check your device’s Applications folder for “Webex.”
Otherwise, visit the Webex downloads page to install Webex on a personal device. After installation, see the section below on Logging in to Webex.

OFF CAMPUS? Use of Tufts phone services via Webex requires Tufts VPN.
- Open the Webex application.
- Click Sign in.

- Enter your Tufts email address (e.g., John.Jumbo@tufts.edu) and click Next.

- When the Tufts single sign on screen loads, log in with your Tufts credentials and complete two-factor authentication.
- Once you are logged in, Webex should automatically connect to Tufts phone services. However, if you get an error message that says “phone services are disconnected”, click Open Settings.

- When the Phone Service account information page loads, log in with your Tufts credentials.

- If successful, you’ll be connected to the phone service and will be able to make and receive calls with your Tufts telephone number.

A Webex calling integration called "Cisco Call" for Microsoft Teams exists, but is not recommended or supported at Tufts. Even after installation, it possesses limited functionality and still requires that Webex be installed and running on your device in order to work.
