Simplified Sign-on to be Enabled for Tufts Employee Self Service and other PeopleSoft HR Applications
Over President's Day weekend, Tufts Technology Services (TTS) and Human Resources will complete a PeopleSoft HR upgrade that will enable Tufts employees to access PeopleSoft HR applications, including Employee Self Service, using their Tufts Username and Tufts Password. This change was requested by faculty and staff and identified during the TEAM Working Group process as a way to reduce the number of passwords used to conduct university business. It also provides additional security and decreases the amount of support needed to maintain multiple passwords.
Authentication to Tufts systems through a Tufts Username and Tufts Password (Tufts Simplified Sign-on) has been the primary authentication method for the university for the past several years. The addition of PeopleSoft HR to the list of systems that use Tufts' Simplified Sign-on will greatly increase the user experience and the convenience of managing human resource data at Tufts.
Protecting your personal information both at Tufts and in the world beyond is important. Please be sure to protect your password and remain vigilant in recognizing phishing schemes, which can be perpetrated through email, the telephone, in person, or via social media.
