Requirements: 

Access to Agilent OpenLAB software is available through a supported desktop web browser and requires a Tufts Username and Tufts Password.

It is recommended that the Tufts Principle Investigator request a consultation with a Tufts RDMS staff member about their workflow, storage, and possible modes of use to see if this solution is aligned with their needs and expectations.

Agilent OpenLAB is a comprehensive solution that includes an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and an Enterprise Content Manager for supporting the storage and curation of large datasets. This tool allows researchers to securely store, manage, and retrieve their data and to address different collaboration needs.

As students/associates leave the university, and as time between data acquisition and request increases, finding the data as mandated by the Federal Government becomes increasingly difficult, thus putting the University at risk. Data workflows organized within an RDMS assist in the management of this process.

An RDMS provides support for compliance with federal requirements for data management and sharing--NSF and NIH and all agencies under the White House Offices of Science and Technology Protocol’s (OSTP) guidance.
