Server Maintenance and Uptime

TTS performs anniversary maintenance on the schedule below and strives to keep activities that would be disruptive to customer's service confined to these stated needs:

  • One 4 hour window between December and February
  • One 4 hour window between May and July

If your service cannot tolerate the above schedule, please contact uit-ei-ess@tufts.edu to discuss whether high-availability options, such as redundant databases or load-balanced application servers, should be pursued.

Non-anniversary maintenance may be requested, but will fall into the following hours:

MORNING USED FOR DAY(S)
6 am - 8 am Standard or Normal changes with a low risk profile of impact, or where early morning validation is best. Monday through Friday
6 am - 10 am Maintenance that has a potential for large impact. Sunday
EVENING USED FOR DAY(S)
12 am - 2 am Maintenance that has a potential for large impact, is usually our last resort for timing. Thursday
8 pm - 10 pm Standard or Normal changes with a low risk profile of impact Monday through Friday
BUSINESS HOURS USED FOR DAY(S)
6 am - 6 pm Non-Customer visible servers or changes that do not impact service delivery. Monday through Friday
