Ingenuity Pathway Analysis

Introduction

Tufts University has a two "single concurrent" network licenses for Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) software from QIAGEN

1) University license - available to anyone at Tufts University or Tufts Medical Center, one user at a time

2) 5 User limited license - available to labs that have purchased a set on this license, one user at a time. This license has more availability, but labs must purchase a seat on this license. For information about purchasing a seat, please contact tts-research@tufts.edu

Getting Started

  1. Please email it@tufts.edu to be added to the Tufts IPA license
  2. Install IPA on your computer following these Installation Instructions
  3. Make a reservation on the calendar to the right following the below instructions

Making a Reservation

  1. Do not change the "Location" field (it will show "TTS Research Technology" by default)
  2. Select the Category for the license for which you are registered (note that most users will select the Category "IPA Reservation - University". Please only use the "5 user limited" if your lab has purchased a seat for you on that license. )
  3. Click on a green box under the selected date that corresponds to the time you wish to reserve
  4. Enter your information under “Booking Details”
  5. Click “Submit My Booking”
  6. You will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to cancel your booking. Users that are logged in without a reservation will be warned and then logged off the software by an administrator after 15 minutes.
  7. If you are not able to access the software during your reserved time because someone else is logged in, the TTS service desk can help clear a seat for you. Please call (617) 627-3376  mention the IPA Knowledge Base Article Support Scenario #2
  8. Note: If you are a registered user on the 5 user license, you can instead select “IPA Reservation – 5 user limited” on the drop down menu that shows “IPA Reservation – University” and reserve a time. If you don’t know which license you are part of, you can email it@tufts.edu.
